CLASS - Saturday mornings

Cost: $150 for 6-week series of classes.
Class structure: Each session begins with a brief demonstration of watercolor techniques and/or materials. Then there is time for practicing what was demonstrated, work on individual projects, and personal attention and guidance.
Painting in watercolor is always an adventure. Jana helps students develop the skills they need to express their own unique styles, voices and interests. She focuses on enjoying and appreciating the process, not just the end result.

- Basic washes, glazing, wet-in-wet techniques
- Watercolor sketchbooking/painting at nearby waterfront park
- Painting glass & dew drops
- Still life and flowers
- Landscapes
- Pouring paint
- Ink and watercolor
- Painting people
- Painting animals
- Exploring color
- Painting in series
- Painting shiny, reflective surfaces (silver, brass, chrome, cars, machinery)
- Capturing light/creating illusion of light in your painting
- Textures
- Suggestions for other topics gladly considered.
